December 2024 results

Hi there!

For the past month, we have been working without getting tired, and we would like to share with you some of the results of the work we’ve done.

Supported Bybit API changes

In December, we were informed about updates to the Bybit exchange API, which restricted our ability to display statistics for this exchange.

After two weeks of daily work on the issue, including collaboration with Bybit’s support team, we resolved all problems and promptly adapted to the exchange’s new API requirements.

Developed and implemented a feature to pay expired invoices

Over the past six months, some users faced difficulties paying invoices with expired deadlines through the platform interface. This forced them to contact support and take additional steps to resolve outstanding payments.
In December, we successfully implemented a system that allows you to pay any invoice (including expired ones) with a single button click.

Overall platform

Developed the ability to send critical notifications on the platform

As our user base continues to grow, we’ve recognized the need to display notifications on the platform. These notifications are essential in situations where exchanges fail to provide the data required for displaying statistics or when certain functionalities are disrupted, whether due to our fault or external issues.

We’ve now implemented a feature that allows us to send notifications visible to users who have the platform open in their browser, as well as to those opening it later. These notifications can be triggered as soon as needed, providing a better understanding of current platform status to all users.

Started working on improving platform texts

Recently, we discovered that many platform elements have confusing names, especially for new users. This lack of clarity is a significant factor affecting your understanding of the platform’s features

We reviewed all the major elements on the platform, came up with clearer alternatives, and wrote a technical specification for updating certain names.

For example:

  • Passport Dashboard → My portfolios
  • Marketplace Marketplace → Marketplace Catalog
  • Marketplace JET → Invest Portfolio
  • And other

We expect this change to enhance the user experience, so it’s more convenient for you to use the service

Started working on platform menu improvements

After analyzing the behavior of new users on the platform and conducting several interviews with our regular users, we concluded that the current menu structure creates confusion. Specifically, users often struggle to navigate between the Marketplace and Passport sections and to find their way back, as the logic of platform navigation is unclear to many.

We brainstormed several solutions, discussed them with you, and settled on the following:

This solution, with a platform selector that is always visible, allows even the least experienced users to understand their current location on the platform and how to switch to the other section.

Currently, platform selection is done via a dropdown menu that appears when hovering, which lists all platform sections.

We believe this feature will allow more users to understand what is the main purpose of the platform, which would allow us to do more cool features =)

Apart from that

  • Fixed a bug where the “Start Investment” button was missing for accounts with insufficient deposits.
  • Improved the search for investment accounts on the Marketplace Dashboard page.
  • Resolved an issue preventing the deletion of stopped investment declarations.
  • Added error states to Marketplace pages.
  • Removed the ability to register accounts with empty names.
  • Refined the technological side of the Marketplace Constructor: fixed cache bugs, synchronization issues, and minor calculation bugs.
  • Redesigned the appearance of notifications on the platform: cookies and error messages are now displayed more appealingly.

Your feedback and support drive our progress. We’re thrilled to bring these improvements to the platform and are excited for what’s ahead. As always, feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions with us. We are very grateful for your interest in the project and will do our best to provide the service you deserve.

See you next month!

With gratitude, The TradeLink Team
